PRIVACY POLICY

The purpose of the Oak Lawn Municipal Employees Credit Union’s privacy policy is to safeguard the confidentiality and security of member nonpublic personal information and to comply with federal and state regulations regarding member privacy.

Categories of information collected by the credit union

In the course of business, the credit union collects nonpublic personal information about members from the following sources:

  1. Information received from members on applications or other forms.
  2. Information about transactions with us, our affiliates or others.
  3. Information received from a consumer-reporting agency.

Policies to Safeguard the Confidentiality and Security of Member Information

 The credit union restricts access to nonpublic personal information about members to employees and directors who need to know information to provide services to members.  The credit union maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard member’s nonpublic personal information.

We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.

We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.

If you terminate your membership or become an inactive member we will adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice.
